All donations go towards the establishment of a Kempton Museum of Historic Coal Town Life.
Little by little, like carts out of the mine, we are generating enough funds to establish a small museum in Kempton that displays artifacts from KHAP excavations, donated coal industry memorabilia, and historic photos. The museum will allow visitor to step back in time and into a life that has come to typify the Appalachian past. The museum will be another point of interest in the region, alongside the Fairfax Stone and Blackwater Falls. We thank you for any contribution and for bringing coal community history back to life!
